Many assume that Anna Wintour’s cross-continental accent is just an affectation, and that she must have been born and raised in the US. After all, she’s about as quintessentially New York City as they get.
However, any Anna Wintour fan will know that she actually cut her journalistic teeth in the British fashion industry, and she grew up in England. What you may not know, though, is that while she’s a separate entity in New York, she has a ton of notable family members in the UK. For example, her father, Charles Wintour, was the editor of the London Evening Standard for years.

11 She has two children
Given her reputation as a bit of an Ice Queen, due to her inscrutable nature and often chilly demeanour, it’s incredibly tough to imagine Anna Wintour serving up cheerios and folding baby clothing, but she is, in fact, a mother.
Wintour was married for nearly 15 years to psychiatrist David Shaffer, and she has two children from the union – a son, Charles, and a daughter, Bee. While you might think they would end up in the fashion industry thanks to their mother’s powerful connections, neither of her children has really showed any interest in the fashion world – to them, Anna Wintour is just mom.
10 She’s had her signature bob since her teenage years
Many individuals in the fashion world are chameleons, constantly changing their look, from their overall clothing style to their hair-cut to their make-up.
However, Anna Wintour has remained shockingly consistent over the years – she helps create all the latest trends in the pages of Vogue, but for herself, she sticks to what she knows and loves.
While she definitely has certain clothing features or silhouettes that she gravitates towards time and time again, the one thing that has remained absolutely the same over the years is her haircut. Anna Wintour has been known for her signature bob for as long as she’s been known as Anna Wintour, and it turns out, she’s been rocking the style since she was a teenager.
