Yasheng Huang (Chinese: 黄亚生) is an American professor in international management at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he founded and heads the China Lab and India Lab.
His research areas include human capitalformation in China and India.
Early life and education
Huang was born in Beijing, China.[1] He moved to the United States to pursue his higher education, and enrolled for a B.A. degree program, with a major in government from Harvard College, which he completed in Upon completion, he went on to earn a Ph.D.
in government from John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in [2]
Career
While he was preparing for his Ph.D, he worked as a World Bank consultant and associate professor at the University of Michigan from to In , he joined Harvard Business School as the Associate Professor in business, government and international economics.[3]
He is currently an Epoch Foundation (of Taiwan) professor in international management at the MIT Sloan School of Management, joined in At MIT, he founded and heads the China Lab and India Lab.
His research areas include human capitalformation in China and India.[4]
Huang is a participant of the Task Force on U.S.-China Policy convened by Asia Society's Center on US-China Relations.[5]

Huang’s scholarly work and articles have been published in a number of economics and management journals, and publications including TheWall Street Journal, The Economist, and Businessworld.[6] He also authored / co authored books on topics – globalization and emerging markets; FDI, Investment strategies, financial liberalization in China.
